Catholic lay community · Carmelite spirituality · Since 1987

To experience for oneself the presence of God, loving and saving.

Komunitas Tritunggal Mahakudus (KTM) is a Catholic lay community living from the Carmelite spirit joined to life in the Spirit. We gather in small groups called cells — four to sixteen people who meet at least twice a month to pray, to listen to the Word, and to walk together.

The vision of the community

"Dalam kuasa Roh Kudus mengalami dan menghayati sendiri kehadiran Allah yang penuh kasih dan menyelamatkan, sampai pada persatuan cinta-kasih, serta membawa orang lain kepada pengalaman yang sama."

Mark 12:30 · Acts 2:41-47 · Original Indonesian, given as written

A first step

Where can I join?

If you have only just heard of KTM, one thing comes before everything else: where there is a cell near you, and when it meets. The cell finder is open to anyone; no account is needed.

We do not publish members’ home addresses, telephone numbers or full names. Every request is passed through a form to the pelayan wilayah — the servant of the area — who will contact you.

A cell meeting

What happens when a cell gathers

A cell meeting lasts about two hours and follows the same five elements wherever the cell is, in Malang or in Antwerp. There is nothing you need to prepare in order to come for the first time.

01

Praise and worship

The meeting opens with singing and prayer together, simple, without elaborate musical preparation.

02

Teaching

A short point of teaching given by the cell servant or read from the community formation material.

03

Vacare Deo and Scripture

Vacare Deo means "to make time free for God": silent prayer before the Lord, here woven together with a reading from Scripture.

04

Sharing

Members share what they have received from the Word and from the silence. No one is obliged to speak.

05

Intercession

The cell prays for its members, their families, the parish and the Church, and closes with prayer together.

Elijah on Mount Horeb

The Lord was not in the great wind, nor the earthquake, nor the fire, but in a still small voice. Carmel learns to listen from there.

The Carmel family

Three ways, one spirit

KTM does not stand alone. Together with Putri Karmel and the Carmelitae Sancti Eliae it grew from the same root and from the ministry of the same founder. The three walk side by side as a family, each with its own way of life.
